Biography

Dr. Shick, is board certified in family medicine and truly enjoys providing medical care for all generations. Whether pediatric or geriatric, she strives to stress preventative medicine while managing chronic and acute conditions for whole families.

Born in New Jersey, Dr. Shick moved to Virginia to attend The College of William and Mary, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in chemistry. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Medicine from Eastern Virginia Medical School and stayed to complete her residency training with Portsmouth Family Medicine, where she served as Academic Chief Resident. She continues to work with the medical school as an assistant professor, teaching medical students at all stages.

Dr. Shick has been practicing in Hampton Roads since 2013 and is thrilled to be returning to Portsmouth to continue providing care for this community. She is currently Vice Chief of Family Medicine at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center where she serves on the Physician Excellence Committee. Outside of medicine, Dr. Shick can be found dancing with the Lakewood Ballet Company, swimming, and boating with her husband and son, or working in her budding garden.
