Biography
Dr. Crum is a board certified family physician who has a special interest in geriatric medicine. He works closely with patients and their families and caregivers to provide advice to help them navigate the medical challenges that come with aging.
Dr. Crum was born in Plant City, Florida. He did his undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida in Tampa and subsequently attended medical school there. He moved to Portsmouth in 1984 to do his residency in Family Medicine at the Portsmouth Family Medicine/Eastern Virginia Medical School. He is Associate Community Faculty with EVMS and provides hand-on training to their medical students.
Dr. Crum began his practice in Portsmouth in 1987 upon the completion of his residency. At that time, he founded Family Medicine, P.C. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Virginia Academy of Family Practice, the Medical Society of Virginia and the American Medical Association.
In his free time Dr. Crum enjoys boating, racquetball, gardening, and visiting his grandchildren in South Carolina.
